Oktoberfest 2011: Beer And Brats To Benefit Veterans

SOUTH AMBOY — The Old Bridge Sayreville Rotary is hosting a “Beer‘n Brats Oktoberfest” to benefit area veteran programs. The event will take place on Friday, Oct. 28 starting at 6:30 p.m., at Sacred Heart Memorial Hall, Main Street and Washington Avenue in South Amboy.

Dave Hoffmann, the brewmeister from Climax Brewing Company in Roselle Park, will conduct a special beer tasting. Samplings will include India Pale Ale, Cream Ale, Nut Brown Ale, Extra Special Pale Ale, and of course, Oktoberfest. Ticket price is $25 and includes bratwurst, served on Sheboygan roll, German potato salad, Bavarian pretzels, and apple strudel. Entertainment will be provided by the band, “Reason for Being” and a comedian from T.V.’s “Comedy Central”. Wear your “lederhosen” and receive a special prize.
