MORRISTOWN – The Morristown Fraternal Order of Eagles #1311 will hold a Disaster Relief Clothing & Food Drive event Saturday, Sept. 24, from 1-5 p.m. at the Morristown Green.
The event is open to the public. The Morristown Eagles will collect clothing and non-perishable food items. People who are unable to donate may still participate and can pick up any clothes or food needed. Surplus clothing will be given to The Salvation Army of Morristown. Complimentary food will be offered at the Green along live music.
During the event, the Morristown Aerie, located at 13 Market St., will raise funds to fight breast cancer with live music, a 50/50 raffle, and food and drinks available for purchase.
Clothing donations should be folded and separated by men’s, women’s, boys’ and girls’ apparel. Gently worn shoes are preferred. Donations will be divided into designated areas and laid out in marked off rows. Once the event begins, those in need are welcome to take items.
The Morristown Eagles has maintained a presence in the community since 1906 and currently hosts more than 300 Aerie members.
