Union Library’s NJ Film Stars Series Continues

UNION– Union Public Library continues its film series showcasing the works of New Jersey personalities as well as legendary Hollywood directors, Ernst Lubitsch and Frank Borzage. The series resumes on Tuesday, Sept. 20.

“On The Avenue,” a 1937 Irving Berlin musical, was one of the first big-screen appearances for the Ritz Brothers, who started their entertainment career in vaudeville. They were born in Newark.

Films will be screened at 2 p.m. on successive Tuesdays through Nov. 1. Call the library at 1-908-851-5452 or visit www.youseemore.com/UnionPL/default.asp for specific films in the series.
