STATE – The New Jersey chapter of Rolling Thunder, Inc. will stage a motorcycle ride in honor of American soldiers held as prisoners of war or missing in action on Sunday.
Ride For Freedom XVI will depart Warinanco Park in Roselle at 11:30 a.m. and arrive at the New Jersey Vietnam Veterans’ Memorial in Holmdel at approximately 1 p.m.
The riders will take St. Georges Avenue (Route 27 South) from Warinanco Park. The cavalcade will continue on St. Georges Avenue (becomes Route 35 South) through Woodbridge and Perth Amboy to the Victory Bridge. Once over the Victory Bridge, the procession will continue on Route 35 South through Sayreville/Old Bridge and turn onto Laurence Parkway. They will then enter the Parkway at entrance 120 (on the left) and will follow the Garden State Parkway heading south in the local lanes to exit 116 (PNC Bank Arts Center and New Jersey Vietnam Veterans’ Memorial).
Rolling Thunder, Inc. is a nonprofit, non-political volunteer group dedicated toward a full accounting of POWs and MIAs and to help U.S. veterans from all wars.
