RAHWAY – The city’s Department of Parks and Recreation is seeking crafters and vendors with hand-made or new items for its annual Holiday Craft Fair, which is held on Friday, Nov. 25 and Saturday, Nov. 26 at the Rahway Recreation Center on Milton Avenue. A new addition to the event this year is a pet market, so vendors with items for man’s best friend(s) are also needed.
The Craft Fair and Pet Market opens on Friday at 5 p.m. and coincides with the city’s annual Tree Lighting Ceremony at 7 p.m., a few steps away in front of City Hall. Afterwards, Santa and Mrs. Claus stop by the market to visit with the children and take photos. The Market hours on Saturday are from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m., with Santa visiting again from noon to 2 p.m. for holiday pet photos.
Spaces are for $60 each. They are approximately 10’ wide and one 8-foot table is provided. Access to electrical outlets is available for a one-time fee of $10. Vendors must sell new items or hand-crafts only and anyone selling edible items must have a food license.
Interested vendors may call the Rahway Recreation office at 1-732-669-3600 to request an application or may register online at www.cityofrahway.com/recreation.htm.
