SCOTCH PLAINS — Last night in front of a standing room only crowd of hundreds of supporters, Senator Nick Scutari, Assemblyman Jerry Green and Assemblywoman Linda Stender kicked off their 2011 campaign at the Scotch Plains Italian American Hall.
“Linda, Jerry and I want to thank everyone who came out last night in support of our campaign,” said Scutari. “With their help, we will continue our work in Trenton on the most important issue facing our state, the economy, and putting the residents of New Jersey back to work.
Jerry Green, of Plainfield, focused on making the working class stronger through economic development. “We need companies with the ability to develop jobs for our local residents. As your representative in Trenton, my priorities are stabilizing and lowering taxes, and bringing more employment opportunities to the 22nd District.”
Stender, a resident of Scotch Plains, emphasized the importance of fighting for the middle class residents of New Jersey. “I will continue to fight for the working families of New Jersey to ensure that everyone pays their fair share so that budgets aren’t balanced on the backs of the middle class,” said Stender.
The 22nd Legislative District is comprised of 11 towns including: Clark, Rahway, Linden, Winfield Park, Scotch Plains, Fanwood, Plainfield, North Plainfield, Dunellen, Middlesex, & Green Brook.
