The Raritan Valley Chapter of Hadassah Chicks with Sticks knitting group will meet on Wednesday, Oct. 26, at 8:15 p.m., at 118 Donaldson Street, Highland Park. They make hats for preemies, children with cancer, and American and Israeli soldiers. Everyone is welcome. Assistance is given to those new to knitting or crocheting. All you need to bring is size 7 and 8 knitting needles. It is best to have bamboo needles as they are easier on your hands. Bring double pointed and/or round needles if you want to learn to knit with them. Yarn and instructions will be provided. For more information, contact Natalie Herbin at safti18@gmail.com or 1-732-339-8492.

The latest batch of 50 hats, knitted by Chicks With Sticks, was given to Tillle Pass to deliver to the local cancer centers. Tillie Pass thanks all knitters who produced hats all summer long and dropped them at her house. She was able to deliver to three hospitals and was thanked profusely by the staff for the knitters contributions. If you want to join in this worthwhile cause by knitting at home, call Tillie at 1-732-572-0753.
