CLARK – The township’s Public Works Department is picking up branches that fell during Hurricane Irene. Residents are asked to make sure they are cut up and placed in the street.
On Tuesday, the township will begin a special bulky item garbage pickup to allow residents to dispose of items damaged during the storm. Township officials are telling residents not to put other items out during this collection because only storm-damaged items will be picked up. Bulky items should be placed by the curb.
The Madison Hill Road bridge was severely damaged due to the storm; county officials have notified the township that repair work should take three to four weeks.
