CLARK — Carl H. Kumpf Middle School in Clark will be one stop on a 20-week national tour called “Change My World Now,” which aims to promote self-acceptance, self-reliance, tolerance, and self-worth in students.

The sixth grade class will get to meet author Gina Otto, who wrote the children’s book “Cassandra’s Angel” that inspired the tour. Cassandra’s Angel is “about stories we are given in our lives about who others think we are… and then dropping those stories so that we can become who we are meant to be. The book’s message bridges age, culture, gender, and religion.”

The sixth grade students will greet the “Change My World Now” tour bus on Tuesday, Oct. 4, watch a presentation, and then have a meet-and-greet with the Otto to discuss the major themes of the presentation and how they personally relate to them.

The program is part of the Clark Public Schools’ anti-bullying initiative.
