Linden Man Arrested On Credit Card Theft Charge

LINDEN – Police arrested a 22-year-old Linden man and charged him with credit card theft last week.

Aaron G. Jackson allegedly tried to use a stolen credit card to buy two American Express gift cards at Pathmark on Stiles Street on July 28, at around 4 a.m. Police were contacted after the purchase was declined.

When officers checked the name on the card allegedly used by Jackson, they discovered it belonged to a Washington Avenue resident. Police determined that the card was one of three that had been stolen from the victim’s vehicle.

Jackson is charged with credit card theft and unlawful use of a credit card. Bail was set at $35,000. He is presumed innocent until he is found guilty in court.
