CLARK – As part of the 2011 state Department of Transportation Roadway Improvements Project, the Township of Clark has awarded a contract to Z. Brothers Concrete Contractors Inc. of Sayreville to reconstruct Grand Street and Gibson Boulevard. Work is expected to begin Monday, Aug. 1.
During the construction period, parking on the street is prohibited. Residents will be able to access their driveways, except during the laying of the asphalt (base and surface materials.) Residents may also be unable to access their driveways if their curbing or driveway aprons are being replaced.
Officials advise residents to park on adjacent streets, because the roadway will be inaccessible during the time of paving. After the new surface is placed, the roadway will be closed to traffic for approximately 24 hours. If you have any special access concerns, contact Richard O’Connor, Township Engineer or Jeff Gualtieri, Project Manager, at 1-908-272-8901 so officials may attempt to accommodate your needs.
