CRANFORD—Chef Andrea Carbine, co-owner of Cranford’s A Toute Heure bistro, will give a talk entitled, “Great Communities Are Built on Great Food” on Thursday, July 21, at 7:30 p.m. in the Cranford Community Center, 220 Walnut Avenue.
The talk will focus on the A Toute Heure garden, known as Jack’s Run Garden, the restaurant’s connections to local farmers, and how A Toute Heure uses these connections to build its own garden. Local farms and the A Toute Heure garden help the bistro to meet its goal of securing at least seventy-five percent of the goods and materials it uses from the local community.
Carbine is a two time James Beard award nominee for Best Chef Mid-Atlantic and a graduate of the French Culinary Institute. For more information about A Toute Heure, visit atouteheure.com. Admission to the program is free and all are welcome.
