Verona Man Accused Of Shoplifting Copper Pipe

LINDEN – Police arrested a 35-year-old Verona man who allegedly tried to steal $1,800 worth of copper piping from Home Depot on Saturday evening.

William Mueller allegedly concealed the copper piping inside PVC pipe and attempted to leave the store after purchasing the PVC pipe. The store’s loss prevention department detained him and called police.

Mueller was charged with third degree shoplifting and taken to Union County Jail. Bail was set at $1,500 cash.
