Trudi’s Corner: Cable Connection

By Trudi Cunningham

Would you believe it? I have finally decided I would invest in a cable program. I’ve stated many times that I had no patience with the situation and with what is being offered as far as the amount of programs and with the cost involved? How many have fallen for some of this and have actually been able to take advantage of them?

The same goes for the cell phone situation. Are all the things necessary? When I hear of the text situation involved, and certain problems in reference to Facebook, I take a back seat. I’m one of those who doesn’t mind picking out and sending a card when it comes to a birthday or special occasion. I can’t believe that it’s such a chore for someone to personally pass up a chance to acknowledge someone near and dear in the family in that direction. I know I’m from the “old school” when this happens, because I have a friend who takes time and sends me the most beautiful and appropriate cards for occasions that I just love.

To get back to the cable deal, I was offered a nice “setup” and went for it. The extra connection was a “dud” within a week. Naturally, I called and it was rectified – until it happened again, and then again. I was at a point were I was ready to give up the whole deal. Then I was told I would need another box for an additional cost of a minor amount, so I agreed to that.

Well, guess what? The technician absolutely did a great job and resolved the problem without further charges. I must say, Comcast was most obliging for the patience and service I received. I must say “thanks” and I will definitely call and tell them so. I think I went off the track somewhere, but I know you get my drift.
