Union Library Announces July Children’s Programs

UNION — The Children’s Department of the Union Public Library has scheduled the following programs at the Main Library during the month of July:

“One World – Many Stories” Film Festival on Fridays, July 1, 8, 15, 22, 29, Aug. 5, 12, and 19. All films will be shown at 11 a.m. The film, “The Little Mermaid” will be show on July 9; “The Rescuers” will be shown on July 16; “Finding Nemo” will be shown on July 23; and “Peter Pan” will be shown on July 30. Children of all ages and their caregivers are invited to attend. No registration required.

“Chopsticks Relay Race” Program on Tuesday, July 5 at 11 a.m. Children of all ages are welcome to attend. No registration required.

School-Age Craft program on Wednesday, July 6 at 11 a.m. This program is for children in grades 1 through 6. No registration required.

Would you like to be a Mad Scientist? Come to the library on Thursday, July 7 at 11 a.m. as Mad Science News of New Jersey performs a program of science experiments from around the world for your entertainment. Children of all ages are invited to attend. No registration required.

The Preschool Storytime and Craft program for preschoolers and their caregivers will be held on Mondays, July 11, 18 and 25 at 11 a.m. No registration required.

Come in your pajamas for songs, stories and games at Bedtime Storytime to be held on Mondays, July 11, 18 and 25 at 7 p.m. Children of all ages and their caregivers are invited to attend. No registration required.

Do you like Magic? On Tuesday, July 12, at 11 a.m., Magician Brian Richards entertains and astounds with his magic. Children of all ages and their caregivers are invited to attend. No registration required.

School-Age Craft program on Wednesday, July 13 at 11 a.m. This program is for children in grades 1 through 6. No registration required.

“Carnival Day at the Library” with fun games on Thursday, July 14 at 11 a.m. This program is for children of all ages and their caregivers. No registration required.

Musical Entertainer, Tom Gardner, will bring his music show to the library on Tuesday, July 19 at 11 a.m. Children of all ages and their caregivers are invited to attend. No registration required.

School-Age Craft program on Wednesday, July 20 at 11 a.m. This program is for children in grades 1 through 6. No registration required.

T-Shirt Decorating Workshop will be held on Thursday, July 21 at 11 a.m. CHILDREN MUST BRING THEIR OWN T-SHIRTS. This program is for children of all ages and their caregivers. No registration required.

The “Eyes of the Wild” Animal Show will appear at the library on Tuesday, July 26 at 11 a.m. Children of all ages and their caregivers are invited to the show. No registration required.

School-Age Craft program on Wednesday, July 27 at 11 a.m. This program is for children in grades 1 through 6. No registration required.

Celebrate the culture of Australia at Australia Day Storytime and Craft Program to be held on Thursday, July 28 at 11 a.m. Children of all ages and their caregivers are welcome to attend. No registration required.

Preschool Storytime and Craft Program on Tuesdays, July 5 and 19 at 11 a.m. Preschoolers, ages 4 and 5, and their caregivers are welcome to attend. No registration required.

Magician, Steve Johnson, will perform his “World of Magic” Show on Wednesday, July 6 at 2 p.m. Children of all ages are invited to attend. Space is limited. Signup is required.

A “Trickster Tales” Storytime and Craft Program will be held on Thursday, July 7 at 2 p.m. Children in grades 1 through 6 are welcome to attend. Space is limited. Signup is required.

Bedtime Storytime for children of all ages and their caregivers will be held on Mondays, July 11, 18 and 25 at 7 p.m. No registration required.

Children of all ages and their caregivers are invited to attend the “Sun Visor” Craft Program on Tuesday, July 12 at 10:30 a.m. Children under 8 must be accompanied by a caregiver. Space is limited. Signup is required.

“Games from Around the World” Program on Thursday, July 14th at 2 p.m. This program is for children in grades 2 through 6. No registration required.

Library Bingo for children in grades 1 through 6 will be held on Tuesday, July 19 at 2 p.m. No registration required.

A “Noodlehead” Storytime and Craft program for children in grades 1 through 6 will be held on Thursday, July 21 at 2 p.m. Space is limited. Signup is required.

A “Don’t Bug Me” Craft program for children of all ages and their caregivers will be held on Tuesday, July 26 at 10:30 a.m. Space is limited. Signup is required.

“Monster Tales from Around the World” Storytime and Craft Program on Thursday, July 28 at 2 p.m. This program is for children in grades 3 through 6. Space is limited. Signup is required.

“Around the World with Presley and Melody” musical performance on Friday, July 29 at 2 pm. Children of all ages are invited to attend. Space is limited. Signup is required.
