EDISON — A pod for use by astronomy classes was recently installed at Middlesex County College, behind Main Hall. The pod contains a telescope that students will use in class, particularly in the evening. The pod is also linked to the classroom, so students can receive data remotely.

“This will enhance the students’ interest in astronomy,” said Diane Trainor, chair of the Department of Chemistry/Physics. The pod was purchased by a grant from Retail Services Corp., the nonprofit auxiliary enterprise of the college.
