WARREN—Ed Potosnak, a Democrat who’s planning to challenge Republican Rep. Leonard Lance next year, welcomed Congressman Barney Frank (D-MA) to Warren for a fund-raising event held in support of his upcoming campaign.
Frank is the ranking member of the House Financial Services Committee and a New Jersey native.
“I’m glad to come back to my home state to support Ed Potosnak’s election to Congress,” remarked Frank. “I know he will be an excellent member of Congress who will help protect the important financial reforms we adopted last year and to reduce our federal deficit in a socially and economically responsible way.”
The event was held at the Warren home of Roberta and Arnold Krumholz, with over 100 supporters, community leaders and elected officials in attendance.
“Tonight’s event was a terrific success, and the large turnout demonstrates the commitment of our community to my campaign and changing Washington,” said Potosnak on Saturday.
“Republicans, like my opponent, want to go back to policies that didn’t work. This early support will help us fight back against special interests and move forward with an agenda to create jobs, improve education, and stimulate research and development in our communities,” Potosnak continued.
