WESTFIELD — For the eighth year, Jay Tintle, owner of Jay’s Cycle Center of Westfield, has invited cyclists to participate in the LBI Century Ride. A 105-mile trek from Westfield to Long Beach Island, this year 29 enthusiasts and novices signed up.

For the fourth year in a row, as part of the ride, Tintle invited participants to make a donation to The Arc of Union County, a local nonprofit agency that helps to support children and adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities and their families.

Thanks to the generosity of the cyclists and Jay’s Cycle Center, The Arc of Union County received donations totaling over $1,000.
