Local Students Named To Dean’s List

SCRANTON, Pa. — The University of Scranton has announced its Dean’s List, which recognizes students for academic excellence during the 2011 spring semester. Students at the Jesuit university must have a grade point average of 3.5 or better with a minimum number of credit hours to make the Dean’s List.

The list includes students from the College of Arts and Sciences, the Kania School of Management, the Panuska College of Professional Studies and the College of Graduate and Continuing Education. More than 1,450 students were named to the Dean’s List, including the following list of area residents.

  • Maria J. Borowski of Clark is a senior nursing major in Scranton’s Panuska College of Professional Studies.
  • Brittany M. Dolan of Clark is a junior elementary education/early childhood education major in Scranton’s Panuska College of Professional Studies.
  • Megan A. Etzel of Clark is a sophomore occupational therapy major in Scranton’s Panuska College of Professional Studies.
  • Lauren A. Bottitta of Rahway is a senior management major in Scranton’s Kania School of Management.
  • Peter F. Alexander of Linden is a freshman English major in Scranton’s College of Arts and Sciences.

The University of Scranton is a Jesuit university located in northeast Pennsylvania.
