SOMERVILLE – A Union woman has been indicted on a vehicular homicide charge in the 2010 death of a 22-year-old Annandale man as the result of a crash in Warren Township, Somerset County Prosecutor Geoffrey D. Soriano announced.

Amie Marrocelli, 38, had allegedly consumed alcoholic beverages at a wedding on Sunday, Oct. 10, 2010. At approximately 7:56 p.m., her 2011 BMW collided with a 1998 Suburban driven by Steven Wall in the center lane of Highway 78 East, near Exit 36, according to Soriano. The crash forced both vehicles off the highway, with the Suburban coming to an uncontrolled stop against a tree.

Wall sustained blunt impact head injuries and died as a result of the crash on Oct. 11, 2010, Soriano said. Toxicology analysis determined that Marrocelli’s blood alcohol level was 0.087 percent, above the legal limit, Soriano said.

If convicted, Marrocelli faces up to ten years in prison, the prosecutor said.
