RAHWAY — A Rahway Foundation for Excellence in Education Grant has allowed Ms. Bentley, an in-class support teacher, to purchase a Nook and place reading at the fingertips of third grade students at Franklin School in Rahway.

Students were very excited to use this new technology. One student even remarked that it felt like he was reading “a book that came from the year 2496. It is cool how I could turn pages by sliding my finger across the Nook.”

Nadia Sirah and Nya Davis are reading Seymour Simon’s book, Fun Facts About Pets.

Students from Ms. Cianchetta’s third grade class have a chance to learn how to use the Nook.
