TROY, N.Y. — Shalayah Gaines, a resident of Elizabeth, was among 84 students from Emma Willard who graduated during the school’s 197th Commencement Ceremony held on Sunday, May 29.
U.S. Sen. Kirsten E. Gillibrand (D-NY) – a leading advocate for education and equality issues and a 1984 graduate of Emma Willard School – delivered the keynote address.
