Police Seek Information About Fatal Motorcycle Accident

WOODBRIDGE – Township police are seeking information from the public about a fatal motorcycle accident that happened Sunday night on Route 1.

At approximately 10:10 p.m. on June 12, Woodbridge police received a report of a motorcycle on fire in the center lane of northbound Route 1, 15 feet north of the Mitchell Place intersection in Avenel.

Officers found Angel Hernandez, 28, of Elizabeth, in the right lane of the highway. He was treated at the scene for internal injuries and transported to Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital at Rahway, where he was pronounced dead at 11:19 p.m.
