EDISON — The Wardlaw-Hartridge School’s Class of 2011 gathered with parents, faculty and staff members at the annual senior farewell dinner on Monday, June 6 in the AP Room.
Upper School Head Rhona Eserner welcomed the guests and Head of School Andrew Webster made opening remarks. Seniors Ashley DaCosta (piano) and Ian English (trumpet) provided musical entertainment during the early part of the dinner hour.
Three faculty members gave representative addresses covering the three divisions of the school: Ellen Colandrea (Lower), Jane Brown (Middle) and Dave Berry (Upper). Ashley DaCosta of Fords, Class of 2011 president, led a senior toast to parents and Jian Bland of Edison, Student Council president, led a senior toast to teachers. Kelsey Hart of Edison made the yearbook dedication to Dr. Berry.
Senior Awards of Distinction were presented to Kelsey Hart of Edison (W-H Pin), Patrick Liu of Edison (Alumni Association Award), Ian English of Cranford (Parents’ Association Award), Saheela Ibraheem of Piscataway (Stevenson Award), Kayla Kluse of Winfield Park (Upper School Head’s Award) and Jian Bland of Edison (Headmaster’s Cup).
The evening concluded with dessert and a retrospective senior video presentation.
