St. John the Apostle School Holds 8th Grade Graduation

CLARK — St. John the Apostle School, Clark held eighth grade graduation on Friday, June 10. Sister Donna Marie O’Brien awarded the diplomas to 45 graduates and Reverend Father Robert McBride presented the diplomas to the graduated.

Ford, Conor Christopher Frank, Richardson Johnny Franklin II, Shaun Vieira Freire, Sabrina Danielle Garcia, Carolina Caetano Guerreiro, Alexander Gregory Hardoby, Sarah Jordao, Mary Maxine Joseph, Jacob Thomas Krowicki, Susan Ellen Kushner, Melinda Marie Lamprecht, Tiffany Lukenda, Gabrielle Alyssa Marino, Brendan William McSharry, Veronica Cecilia Millan, Thomas Joseph Monaco, Annaliese Joy Mugele, Karim W. Special awards were presented to the following students: A bronze medal was awarded to Melissa Claire Skuriat for the third highest average, the silver medal was awarded to Brendan William McSharry for the second highest average, and a gold medal was presented to Annaliese Joy Mugele for the highest average in the Class of 2011.

Gold Medals for excellence was presented to Sarah D. Dedinsky for Religion, Brendan William McSharry for Language Arts, Annaliese Joy Mugele for Mathematics, Katherine Elizabeth Sheldon for Reading, Carolina Caetano Guerreiro for Science, Melissa Claire Skuriat for Social Studies, Susan Ellen Kushner for Spanish, Calvin C. Zhang for Computer Science, Tiffany Lukenda for Art. Gold medals were presented to Serena Ann Rodriguez for the most enthusiasm and participation in the music program, to Darius Charles Singletary for outstanding performance in physical education, and for the most school spirit in the Class of 2011, a gold medal was awarded to Darius Charles Singletary. Monetary gifts were presented from the Rosary Society for the most improved in Social Studies to Damian Boczar and Chaand Patel.

The Violet E. Kennedy Award, a $250 scholarship to Katherine Elizabeth Sheldon and Olivia Grace Neiman. The Jeffrey C. Ford Award, a monetary gift of $100 to Nicholas James Campanelli. The Sister Frances Award, a monetary gift of $100 to Eileen Anne Conaty. The Margaret and John Kiernan, a $100 scholarship to Sabrina Danielle Garcia.

The Michael Hartnett Awards were given to the student having the three highest grade point averages in the graduating Class of 2011. The highest grade point average was awarded to Annaliese Joy Mugele, the second highest grade point average was awarded to Brendan William McSharry, and the third highest grade point average was awarded to Melissa Claire Skuriat.

The Miss Jane C. Kiernan Award, a $250 book scholarship for the student who excelled in social studies to Melissa Claire Skuriat. The Alumni Association of St. John the Apostle $100 scholarship was awarded to Katherine Elizabeth Sheldon.

The President’s Award for Academic Excellence was presented to: Marc Daniel Blanco, Sarah D. Dedisnky, Carolina Caetano Guerreiro, Jacob Thomas Krowicki, Tiffany Lukenda, Brendan William McSharry, Annaliese Joy Mugele and Katherine Elizabeth Sheldon.

The President’s Award for Educational Improvements was presented to: Eileen Anne Conaty, Sabrina Danielle Garcia, Susan Ellen Kushner, Melinda Marie Lamprecht, Melissa Claire Skuriat and Victoria Ann Szyszkiewicz.

Perfect Attendance certificates and pins were awarded to: Michelle B. Diaz, Richardson Johnny Franklin II, Shaun Vieira Freire, Mary Maxine Joseph, Annaliese Joy Mugele, Karim W. Murphy, Samantha Taylor Sexton, Katherine Elizabeth Sheldon and Lexie A. Sinscera.
