CARTERET-The Carteret Democratic Organization has announced the appointment of Daniel Croson as campaign manager for the 2011 election cycle. Councilmembers Susan Naples and Randy Krum are seeking re-election.
Croson, 20, served as a campaign field organizer for Carteret Mayor Dan Reiman’s successful bid for re-election in 2010.
In making the announcement, Naples called Croson a “top political talent in Middlesex County. Daniel was instrumental in the mayor’s victory last year, and I look forward to what he brings to our team.”
Krum joined Naples, saying, “I’ve known Daniel for years and he’s a terrific young man. The skill and strategic thinking that he’ll bring to our campaign is going to benefit every single Democrat on the ballot this year.”
Reiman also praised Croson, thanking him for his work and dedication. “Dan was a huge asset in my own run last year. His dedication was unmatched among staff members, and I’m confident that his energy and commitment will be reflected in a huge margin of victory for Sue and Randy.”
Croson said he looks forward to working with the candidates and running a campaign based on the Reiman administration’s record. He is currently enrolled at Kean University and is actively involved in Middlesex County politics. His first official day as campaign manager will be June 20th.
