UNION – Every third Sunday of the month is Missionary Sunday at Calvary Assembly of God in Union. Jerry and Nancy Sturgeon, missionaries to the Caucasus Mountains in the former Soviet Union, will be the guest speakers at the 6:30 p.m. service on June 19.
The Sturgeons are the only full Gospel missionaries to the seven southern republics of Russia. This land is home to over 60 different groups, with over 40 of them still unreached by the Gospel. During 14 years in the former Soviet Union, the Sturgeons have worked to build a ministry center and establish a drug rehab center. They have ministered to Chechen orphans and partnered with pastors and local believers to prepare workers for the harvest.
Calvary Assembly of God, located at 953 West Chestnut Street in Union, offers weekly services on Sunday at 8:45 a.m., 11 a.m. and 6:30 p.m. For more information, call 1-908-964-1133 or visit www.CalvaryAssembly.tv
