United Way Hosts Annual Golf Classic

ELIZABETH – United Way of Greater Union County’s annual golf outing, sponsored this year by Enterprise Rent-A-Car, will take place on June 20.

“This is our community and it is up to each individual and business to help it thrive,” says,” United Way Board chairman and regional vice president of Enterprise, Walter Erhardt. “We are happy to lend our support to such a great cause.” All proceeds raised will benefit United Way of Greater Union County’s community impact fund.

Members of the United Way’s annual golf committee are hard at work on plans for its annual event at the Shackamaxon Golf & Country Club in Scotch Plains.

“United Way’s Golf Classic provides community members with an opportunity to enjoy a fun day of golf while they support a worthy cause,” said James W. Horne Jr., President & CEO of United Way. “Last year, we had more than 100 golfers competing and we anticipate another strong turnout for this year. I encourage those interested to register their team early to ensure a spot.”

Not a golfer? You can still attend the dinner. Visit www.uwguc.org/golfclassic for more details.
