RAHWAY–Arts Guild New Jersey is now accepting entries for NEXUS NJ, an art show open to artists living and/or working in New Jersey, juried by Rocío Aranda-Alvarado, associate curator of special projects at El Museo Del Barrio. Artists must be a minimum age of 18 to enter. The deadline for submissions is 4 p.m. on Friday, Aug. 5.
NEXUS NJ is open to artists working in any medium or style, in two and three dimensions. The size limitation for 2-D work is 36” x 36” framed. Wall hanging pieces must be wired for hanging. The weight limitation for wall-hanging work is 25 lbs. Free-standing pieces may not exceed 40” wide or 40” deep, and 72” high, and/or weigh more than 100 lbs. The show opens on Oct. 23, and runs through Nov. 17, at Arts Guild New Jersey, 1670 Irving Street in Rahway. An opening reception will be held on Sunday, Oct.23, 1-4 p.m. The exhibition and reception are free to the public. The exhibition is wheelchair accessible.
There are two ways to enter, by mail and online via Arts Guild New Jersey’s website www.agnj.org. The entry fee is $25/3 entries for current members of Arts Guild New Jersey or $30/3 entries for non-members. The complete prospectus is available at www.agnj.org or by calling 1-732-381-7511.
