CLARK – Aladdin JR., a stage adaptation of the popular tale, is coming to Carl H. Kumpf Middle School in Clark.
Eighth grader Christian Ribeiro plays Aladdin, the charismatic hopeful who falls in love with the beautiful Princess Jasmine, played by sixth grader Alison Quagliato. Ribeiro brings to the stage the perfect mixture of charm, wit, and reckless fortitude, while Quagliato is both elegant and graceful and has the voice of a future star.
Eighth grader Marion Petite plays the enigmatic Genie with comedic precision and colorful expression. Madison Szilagyi, Lauren Semler, Chelsea Holzer, Arlene Vill, and Sunny Feng play the 5 female narrators, unraveling the tale with intensity, urgency, and heightened musical prowess.
The production also features Michael Palermo and Jennifer Casalino as the villainous Jafar and Iago, and Alex Stigliano and Lauren Leppler as the lovable characters of Abu and the Magic Carpet. Also present are Taylor Webb as the Sultaness and Sabah El-Garhy as Razoul. Additional members of the ensemble include Liam Fahy, Sarah Melillo, Ivy Meyer, Joanna Muller, Corinne Pencinger, Michael Racanelli, Fabiana Rocha, and Nadia Szilagyi.
Directed by Jeff Hogan, musically directed by Flora Alexander, choreographed by Kristin Agüero and stage managed by eighth grader Sabrina Dias, Aladdin JR. promises to take you and your family on a magical journey to a whole new world.
