CARTERET – Eight students from Carteret High School recently completed a semester at Middlesex County Arts High. Students are selected for the program through an audition process.

Students who are accepted receive advanced instruction in the literary, performing or visual arts; many of the courses in the program can be taken for college credit. Participating students are responsible for making up any of their regular school work that they may miss while taking part in Arts High activities.

At the end of the program, the students take part in a festival to showcase their talents. The Carteret teens exhibited artwork and photography, gave modern dance and jazz improvisation performances and read their original poetry.
