CLARK — The Dr. William Robinson Plantation and Museum, located at 593 Madison Hill Road, will be celebrating the 150th Anniversary of the Civil War on Saturday, June 4, and Sunday, June 5.
Saturday’s events start at 10 a.m. and last until 5 p.m. The museum will also offer candlelight tours on Saturday night from 8:30 until 10 p.m. On Sunday, the events last from 10 a.m. until 3 p.m.
Some of weekend events include:
- Civil War battles, at noon and 3 p.m. on Saturday and at 11:30 a.m. on Sunday
- weapon demonstrations
- Civil War camp life
- chair caning
- toys, then and now
- hook rug making
- Civil War surgeon
The museum will be open for tours throughout the day, and the souvenir shop will have a variety of items for sale. The 2nd Rhode Island, Company D, The 3rd New Jersey Infantry, and the 7th Virginia Calvary will help bring the past to life.
