Rahway Library Announces “Café Jazz Series”

RAHWAY — The Somerset Jazz Consortium will be returning for jazz performances at the Rahway Public Library on Saturday afternoons in June. During these performances, listeners will hear samples from many styles of jazz from wide selection of musicians.

On June 4, the PJ’s Augmented Sunday Jam Band featuring Jim Jaison on piano, Jack Kennan and David Grossman on guitar, Evan Levine and Aaron Moment on base, and Dan Epstein. David Rose and Charlie on drums will be in the spotlight. The June 11 jazz performance will feature the Vincent Troyani Trio with Vinnie Troyoni on tenor sax, Evan Levine on bass, and drums Vinnie Kucinski. The June 18 jazz band that will be featured is Jim Jaison & His Orchestra. Highlighting their front line horn section with David Ditzel on tenor sax, Steve Johnson on trombone and Steve Tobias on flute.
