LINDEN — The Linden Free Public Library is sponsoring a summer reading club for children during the months of July and August. Registration for the program takes place in the Children’s Room, and begins on Tuesday, May 31.

The theme of this year’s Reading Club is “One World – Many Stories!” Those children who complete the Summer Reading Club goals will earn prizes, and be invited to a final celebration concert.

Parents and guardians must register their children in person, although the child does not have to be present. Library officials note that summer registration is not intended for organized groups, such as day-care, preschool and camp groups.

Linden residents may also register for weekly Story Time groups. These small groups are for children who are four through six years of age. Groups for younger Linden children include “The Toddler Two’s,” and “The Terrific Three’s.” Parents must register their children separately for the weekly groups. Parents and/or caregivers must remain with their children during the group.
