Rahway High School Students Honored By Environmental Group

RAHWAY — On Thursday, May 19, students from the Rahway High School Water Champions program were honored by the New Jersey Chapter of the US Green Building Council at a gala event held at the Palace at Somerset.

The club, which worked under the leadership of English teacher Elizabeth Graner and in collaboration with the NJ Department of Environmental Protection, Rutgers, and Americorps, was recognized for its efforts in providing water audits of Rahway High School as well as local businesses and raising awareness about water conservation.

The US Green Building Council is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit community of leaders working to make green buildings available to everyone within a generation.
