Kowal Appointed To Fill School Board Vacancy
RAHWAY – Peter Kowal, who was defeated in last month’s school board election, is once again a member of Rahway’s Board of Education.
Kowal was appointed to fill the unexpired term of board member Theresa Mikajlo, who died in March. The school board appointed him by a 6-1 vote at this week’s meeting.
Five other candidates sought the one-year term, including former district supervisor Ronald Dolce.
