Local Residents Graduate From Hampton University

HAMPTON, Va. — Hampton University’s 141st Annual Commencement ceremony was held on May 8, at Armstrong Stadium. Actor/comedian Bill Cosby served as the commencement speaker.

The following local residents graduated from Hampton University during the ceremony.

  • LaCarla Donaldson of Linden
  • Tamesha Johnson of Rahway
  • Bianca Hammonds of Elizabeth

Hampton University, a dynamic, progressive institution of higher education, is a privately-endowed, non-profit, non-sectarian, co-educational, historically black university. It is located in southeastern Virginia and boasts one of the loveliest campuses in the nation, with a beautiful waterfront and historic buildings and landmarks. The University offers its 5,200 students innovative courses and 68 bachelor’s degrees; 27 master’s degrees; and doctoral or professional degrees in nursing, physics, atmospheric/planetary sciences, business leadership and administration, educational leadership and management, physical therapy, and pharmacy.
