May 11 at 9:41 a.m. – In the vicinity of the Garden State Parkway Circle, Sgt. Patrick Grady arrested Edison resident Timothy Ricks, 43, on outstanding warrants from Bloomfield, Orange and Union for contempt of court. He was subsequently released after posting bail.

May 12 at 8:02 a.m. – Officer Glenn Griffin investigated a burglary to a residence on Sunset Drive.

May 13 at 5:28 p.m. – At Marshall’s Department Store on Central Avenue, Officer Brian Soos arrested Hazlet resdient Zaira Mendez-Valentin, 36, and charged her with shoplifting $225.75 in merchandise. She was subsequently released pending a court date.

May 14 at 10:40 p.m. – In the vicinity of Cellar Avenue, Officer George Marmarou arrested Clark resident Edmund Lopez, 33, and charged him with DWI. He was subsequently released pending a court date.

May 15 at 5:16 a.m. – In the vicinity of the 100 block of Westfield Avenue, Officer Antonio Manata arrested Scotch Plains resident Volodymyr Nazarevych, 32, and charged him with DWI. He was subsequently released pending a court date.
