YM-YWHA Plans Summer Trips

UNION – The YM-YWHA of Union County is planning a number of summer trips beginning in June.

On June 14, the YM-YWHA will visit the Philadelphia Museum and the newly-renovated National Museum of American Jewish History. Explore the Grounds for Sculpture in Hamilton with the YM-YWHA on June 23. The 35-acre sculpture park was promoted by Seward Johnson to encourage understanding and appreciation of contemporary sculpture. The trip includes transportation, admission and a box lunch. Cruise on the River Belle Boat and stroll along the Point Pleasant boardwalk on July 7. The trip includes transportation, boat ride and a brown bag lunch. On July 28, tour New York City’s Lower East Side and visit the newly-renovated Eldridge Street Synagogue with the YM-YWHA. The tour will include walking and an air-conditioned luxury bus ride. See “Baby It’s You” on Broadway on Aug. 10 with the YM-YWHA. The musical is inspired by the story of Florence Greenberg, the suburban housewife from New Jersey who discovered The Shirelles and created Scepter Records. The YM-YWHA will take a trip to Tuckerton Seaport, a working maritime village in Tuckerton, NJ, on Aug. 23. You can experience the rich traditions of the Jersey Shore and its Baymen through the Seaport’s recreated and history buildings, demonstrations and exhibits.
