Trudi’s Corner

There are definitely things that irritate me, that I’m sure bother others as well. How many people have had someone come to their door, and ask if they would vote for a particular person and those running with him? Is this in desperation and so early in the game?

Frankly, as everyone knows, it’s no one’s business HOW someone votes. Oh sure, you need to declare on Primary Day which way you will go, but other than that it’s no one else’s business, I do know that much. I have repeated myself, but hope it comes across for the benefit of those who are in doubt about that procedure.

[smartads]

How many people will not vote on Primary Day because of having to declare themselves? How stupid is that? We need representation to make a decision and then vote in the General Election were no one can tell the party you are voting for.

I’m really annoyed when someone will tell me that they don’t vote at all because things never change, but constantly complain about political situations. So tell me, whose fault is that if they can’t put forth an effort to help make a change? Need I say more than that?

I recently heard a comment from a person on television expressed by his grandfather, “Common sense is not common.” Maybe some need a definition in that direction as well.
