United Way Plans Plainfield Home Tour

PLAINFIELD — United Way of Greater Union County’s Plainfield Community Council will host its third annual Maidens in May House Tour in Plainfield on Sunday, May 22, from 2-5 p.m., with a reception following at Grace Episcopal Church, 600 Cleveland Avenue in Plainfield from 4-6 p.m.

The Maidens in May House Tour is being held in association with the Friends of Sleepy Hollow Annual Garage Sale, scheduled from 9 a.m.-4 p.m. on May 21 and 22. The tour will feature six homes of historical and architectural significance. A select number of homes will be opening their gardens to visitors as well.


Proceeds from the tour will benefit the Plainfield Medical Transportation Fund. This year’s fund beneficiaries include Neighborhood Health Services and Plainfield Rescue Squad.

Advance tickets are $25 and can be purchased at the following Plainfield locations:

  • Café Vivace, 1370 South Avenue
  • Two River Community Bank, 328 South Avenue, Fanwood
