May 4 at 6:05 p.m. – Police investigated a reported theft from a motor vehicle, parked on the 1500 block of Pennsylvania Avenue. The victim, a 49-year-old Staten Island, N.Y. man, told police that someone took three cash bags containing approximately $50,000, receipts collected from three gas stations. Police are asking anyone with information to contact Det. David Dehler at the Linden Police Detective Bureau at 1-908-474-8532 or email crimetips@police.lindenes-nj.org.

May 5 at 10:19 p.m. – At the Citgo Petroleum property, 2500 Marshes Dock Rd., officers arrested Charles Brown, 46, of Woodbridge and charged him with trespassing. He was carrying a cloth bag with a folding tent at the time of his arrest. Brown was taken to Union County Jail and bail was set at $1,500. The police department’s counter-terrorism unit was continuing the investigation.
