ELIZABETH – Highly-regarded basketball coach Kevin Boyle recently announced that he is leaving St. Patrick’s High School in Elizabeth for another job at a Florida school.

Boyle turned the Catholic high school into a national powerhouse during his 23 years at the school. He won five Tournament of Champions titles and more than 400 games while at St. Patrick. In March, Boyle was named the 2011 Naismith National High School Boys Basketball Coach of the Year.

Boyle will take over a program at Montverde Academy, a private college prep school located about 25 miles northwest of Orlando. This season, the team had a 22-4 record and ranked No. 15 nationally.
