Voters To Decide On School Budgets, Board Members

UNION COUNTY – Voters will head to the polls on Wednesday, April 27, to elect members to their local school boards and decide on the annual public school budget for their community.

The polls will be open from 2-9 p.m. in most municipalities. Some offer expanded voting hours: New Providence and Westfield are open from 7 a.m.-9 p.m.; Elizabeth is open from 11 a.m. – 9 p.m. and Berkeley Heights is open from 1-9 p.m. In Linden, the polls will be open from 4-9 p.m.

School elections are normally held on the third Tuesday in April, but this year’s election date was changed because it would have occurred during the observance of Passover.
