Linden Volunteers Help Nearly 2,000 Residents With Taxes

LINDEN – Linden’s Department of Public Property and Community Services has wrapped up its 2010 Free Income Tax Assistance Program after helping nearly 2,000 residents with their federal and state tax forms.

The volunteers provided assistance at the John T. Gregorio Recreation Center and reached approximately 100 homebound individuals.

These volunteers will be receiving certificates of appreciation from the Department of Public Property and Community Services and Internal Revenue Service on Senior Citizen Day in May.
