CLARK – The Clark Township School District is evaluating children, ages three through 21, who may need special education services.

According to state law, the officials must locate, identify and evaluate all children who reside in the district who are in need of special education and related services, including pupils with disabilities attending nonpublic schools, and highly mobile pupils such as migrant workers’ children and homeless pupils, regardless of the severity of their disabilities.

Three and four year old children who experience difficulties with speech, behavior, coordination or getting along with others may be eligible for the district’s preschool program. In addition, the district offers a full continuum of special education programs and services.

All children who are considered to be ‘at risk’ will be evaluated by district personnel to determine eligibility for special education and related services.

If you have concerns about your child and would like to have him or her evaluated, contact the Department of Special Services at 1-732-388-6200.
