RAHWAY — Rahway Middle School sixth graders Kami Beckford and Sydney Henriksen will travel to England and France this summer as part of the People to People Student Ambassador Program. These girls will represent Rahway Middle School, their community, state and country as they tour the sights and engage in European culture.

After acceptance to the program in September, the girls began attending monthly meetings where they learned about the culture of both countries including: customs, geography, history, religion and art. Together, the girls have been working on a culminating project, due in June, which will highlight all they have learned about the countries.

When asked what they were looking forward to most about the trip, Sydney responded, “I’m most excited about meeting a member of English Parliament.”

Kami replied, “Everything. I’m looking forward to experience being a student ambassador.”
