RAHWAY – The Rahway Board of Education is accepting letters of interest from residents who would like to fill the vacancy left when board member Theresa Mikajlo died last month. The appointed term would end next April, after the 2012 school board election.
To serve on the school board, applicants must be a citizen of the United States, at least 18 years of age, and be able to read and write. They must also have been a resident of Rahway for at least one year and be registered to vote in the district.
Letters of intent should be sent to Albert Di Giorgio, Board Secretary, Rahway Board of Education, 1138 Kline Place, P.O. Box 1024, Rahway NJ 07065, before noon on Friday, April 29.
