Dowdell Library Offers Activities For All Ages

SOUTH AMBOY – The city’s Sadie Pope Dowdell Library offers a variety of activities for patrons of all ages next week.

Children ages two and under are invited to take part in Tot Time Activities on Monday, April 18 at 11:30 a.m. Register in person or online.


The library’s knitting circle meets on Tuesday, April 19, at 6 p.m. Adults (and children ages 10 and up) are invited to drop in and learn to knit, get help with a project or learn a new technique. You should bring your own supplies. Register in person or online.

Adults can sign up for one-on-one computer classes at 10 and 11 a.m. on Thursday, April 21. Participants must register in person.

Enjoy Family Fairy Tales on Saturday, April 23 at 1 p.m. Register in person or online.

The library is normally open from 10 a.m. – 8 p.m. on Monday, Tuesday, and Thursday; from 10 a.m. – 5 p.m. on Wednesday and Friday and from noon- 4 p.m. on Saturday. The library will be closed on Friday, April 22.
