EDISON — Briana Crawley of Rahway, an eighth-grader at The Wardlaw-Hartridge School in Edison, has been awarded a scholarship to attend La Escuela Preparatoria de Barcelona for three weeks this July.
Crawley will be going to Barcelona as part of the Oxbridge Academic Program, which gives junior high and high schools students the opportunity to live and study abroad on some of the most recognized and sought after campuses in the world.
Crawley has been studying Spanish since third grade at Wardlaw-Hartridge and has attended Spanish summer camps to reinforce her ability to read and write the language. She was accepted into the program and awarded the scholarship based on writing samples (one of which had to be in Spanish), an essay detailing her interest in the program, and teacher recommendations.
